Wedding Ceremonies
You’re engaged!

What an exciting moment—CONGRATULATIONS!

I offer A PERSONALISED LOVE STORY.
Whether you desire a grand celebration or an intimate gathering, it is your day to do with as you please, I can adapt to your needs and craft your very own bespoke wedding ceremony. No one else will have the same ceremony as you, as each are designed around the couple, their life, loves and stories.

You can have whatever you want to be included in your wedding, it can be lyrics from your song, poetry, readings, music.

By using my Wedding Celebrancy Services to guide the proceedings it means that your ceremony on your big day is being led by someone that has taken the time to get to know you!

I will have met you and spoken to you many times on your wedding planning journey up to that moment and you can be 100% confident that the script I will have written for you is totally and utterly about you, not a somewhat thoughtless, heartless document.

Not only do you have a choice of where to get married but also at what time, you want to get married as the sun sets - that's not a problem for a celebrant wedding.

Want to get married on a beach - no problem

Want a non-religious ceremony - no problem

Want to include a symbolic ritual that makes proceedings even more meaningful - no problem

Want to include family, friends or your dog - not a problem
What is a Wedding Celebrant?
Wedding celebrants, such as myself, are professionally trained individuals equipped with the skills and personality to bring a unique and personalised touch to the most important day of a couple's life. They are not confined by traditional formats or religious protocols, which allows for a more inclusive and diverse range of ceremonies and the flexibility to craft a ceremony that is as unique as the couple themselves. This could mean incorporating cultural traditions, personal stories, or even unconventional elements that reflect the couple's personalities and love story.

Whether it's a beachfront wedding, a rustic barn celebration, or an intimate backyard gathering, celebrants can adapt to any setting and theme. Their ability to blend professionalism with a personal touch makes them an invaluable asset to any wedding, creating moments that couples and their guests will cherish for a lifetime. The possibilities are virtually endless, limited only by your imagination.
My package includes:
  • Meetings - Up to two meetings to create and design your ceremony. Where possible this will be done in person or via Zoom if not possible.
  • Your Script - A minimum 25 minute script including vows and special ceremony if requested
  • Rehearsal - Attendance at a rehearsal if requested * additional fees maybe applied
  • Keepsakes - Sourcing providing ceremonial keepsakes and props * additional fees applied
Family Blending or Adoption Ceremony
  • A family blending ceremony is akin to a naming ceremony and is a wonderful way to celebrate and welcome an adopted child or stepchildren into your family and the wider community.
  • Neither ceremony has to be an over-the-top affair it is 100% your choice on whether you have a grand party, or a small gathering with family and close friends.
  • As such, you can do whatever you desire to make your day spectacular, wonderful and memorable. I can help you create and share new promises, including an exchange of tokens of commitment.

Is the ceremony legal?

A celebrant wedding is bespoke, beautiful, creative, meaningful – but not legal. You will need to do the legal bit in a registrar office. You might like to think of it as the wedding admin. You can do the legal bit before or after your celebrant wedding. That’s your call. If you want to be heart-married but not legally married, then you don’t need to do the registrar bit at all.

Where can I get married?

Absolutely anywhere! Unlike legal weddings that need to take place in a licensed venue, a celebrant wedding can take place wherever you like. In a big top, on a boat, at your favourite nightclub, at the beach, in a pub, in a field – the possibilities are endless.

Can you include children in the ceremony?

Absolutely. I’m delighted to include the small and not so small young people in your life in the ceremony and adapt on the day (or in the moment) if they go off-piste.

What do you like to drink during the ceremony?

How sweet of you to ask! Just still water actually. Nothing with bubbles until after the ceremony!

Can we include religious elements?

If you would like to absolutely yes. This is your ceremony your way. For authenticity I personally would not perform any religious aspects but you would be welcome to invite a friend or family member to do so and I would incorporate this into the ceremony.

What’s a unity ceremony?

It’s a symbolic often creative ritual to represent the union of two people. Examples include sand ceremonies, wine rituals, creating an anniversary capsule, tea ceremonies, tree planting and handfasting’s.

What’s a handfasting?

A beautiful ancient Celtic tradition with pagan roots that see’s the celebrant bind the couple’s hands together with rope or ribbon to signify the union. It’s where the phrase tie the knot originates. You can use one chord or friends and family can add one’s to it. In some ceremonies couples are asked if they want to handfast for a year and a day, for while love lasts, or for eternity. Your choice! I personally LOVE handfasting’s.
I believe that every couple deserves a truly unique ceremony, which is why every ceremony I create is as personal and lovingly crafted as the last.
